Adam Roth

Adam Roth is a software developer and entrepreneur with over fifteen years of experience building web-based technologies. In 2008, Adam co-founded a small-batch screen printing company under the custom label ‘LOU Clothing’. He went on to manage technology as the Director of Systems at Special Products Group, a tactical uniform provider for police and fire departments in Florida. During that time, he obtained a bachelor's degree in finance at Florida Atlantic University. In 2014, Adam and current MBA student Elena Soboleva entered FAU’s Business Plan Competition with a model for an EdTech company intent on solving the problem of student cheating during online tests. With a working software prototype, the team won $13,000 in the competition and was selected to join the university’s Tech Runway accelerator program. During the startup’s first head-to-head institutional pilot, Honorlock’s integrity algorithm accurately identified more violations than other participating proctoring solutions. During 24 months of stealth-mode, the duo has raised over $700k from angel investors, hired a dream-team of software engineers, and has successfully demonstrated the technology and business model at partner Florida institutions as they prepare for their May 2016 product launch. Adam graduated from FAU this past spring and Elena will be completing her MBA in May.
